KEK Hillsboro, OR
Marine coast station was located in Hillsboro, Oregon along with point to point station KGH (see the Point to Point section for details on KGH). KEK operated on 418kc and 500kc in the MF band and on 9 other frequencies in the HF bands. KEK and KGH were owned by the Mackay Radio and Telegraph Company.
We are very fortunate that each photo has a description of what’s depicted on the reverse so we have this information to share. Note that both arc and spark transmitters are shown, a rarity.
